Three years and counting...

It's been three whole years since we tied the knot and boy-oh-boy has time flown by. It was nice to really relax today and to acknowledge how very lucky we are to live in such an amazing place and to have family and friends who we adore. Sappy, we know, but we loves yous guys!

In order to celebrate our anniversary in true Will and Greta style, we decided to go down to the Honolulu Zoo to play with monkeys, enjoy a free concert and watch the sun set at Waikiki Beach! But before we could even walk out the door, a delivery man (hidden behind his over sized delivery) came waltzing up our driveway. A giant thanks to Maria and Jim for this beautiful flower arrangement! It was so tall, we almost couldn't fit it in the picture.
We placed the flowers up out of the reach of two curious dogs and headed off to the the zoo. Not too sure why this always happens, but the zoo (once again) brought out our inner monkeys and we were running around from animal to animal like little kids. Good thing nobody we know was there to mock us.

We nabbed a great spot for the zoo concert and had a front row seat to hear Natali Ai Kamauu sing (with her brother, left, and husband, right) beautiful Hawaiian songs.

We even got to see Natali's daughter and son dance some hula (they had just come from school, and weren't in hula gear - it was so cute).

After the beautiful concert, we headed down to the beach across the street to watch the last rays of the sun pink up the sky. We even watched an adorable Japanese couple (who had just tied the knot on the best day of the year for a wedding) walk off into the sunset. So sweet! Rather than go out and buy cake (which neither of us really like anyways), we decided it would be more appropriate to end the night with some piping hot malasadas instead! Yumm! :)
