We wish this were just a circus rolling into town. Unfortunately, this black and red craziness is our own lovely home all wrapped up in Terminex tents. After discovering both dry-wood and ground termites attacking our house two weeks ago, we had no choice but to declare war on the ugly buggers.

We double-bagged our entire house, packed up our valuables (including Nakoa and Haupia) and allowed the poison gas to fill the house and stop the termite attack. Except for the few unplanned casualties (hedges and geckos), things went really smoothly. We spent all day today cleaning up the house and catching the last stunned geckos. Next step will be to demo the termite chewed wall and windows in the living room. Hopefully the damage isn't too much...not quite sure what we'll find once we rip into the damaged area. Wish us luck!
