Saturday was certainly a wild one...Will coached girls varsity basketball for three hours while I was hosting Saturday School for 15 trouble-making middle and high schoolers from eight to noon - not nearly as cool as Breakfast Club makes it look, btw.
Afterwards, though, mom, Will and I went on a Waimanalo adventure. The valley back there is packed with huge nurseries full of crazy cool plants and pots - and a bunch of the businesses were having a plant sale extravaganza. Here's Will standing in a field of ceramics with the Ko'olau Mountains in the background.
Some creepy looking coconut dudes. They're supposed to be good luck, but they look like the stuff of nightmares to me.

After planting and trimming, we had some leftover six foot ti plants who were adopted in under an hour! So glad they went to a good home. Ti grow so well out here...all you have to do is shove the cut end in some dirt, give it some water and it'll grow like crazy! (Just like Mr. Stubs)
We're storing these beautiful plants in the kitchen for a little while. Eventually, they'll be Christmas gifts for some friends at work. At only $5 a pop, it was too great a deal to pass up.
We went a bit crazy exploring the beautiful nurseries and finding fabulous deals on unique and beautiful plants. A good day. :)
Beautiful plants! The bromiliads are spectacular! Wish we could have stuffed one in our suitcase.
