It was a picture perfect day yesterday as we headed over the mountain to the 2011 Scottish Festival and Games.
Kapiolani Park was buzzing with games, dancers and pipers galore!
They had the caber toss, hammer throw, and this one...ummm...the giant weight on a chain game. It was a little freaky watching these guys (and girls) fling those heavy things around.
This girl threw farther than many of the guys. She was awesome!
Even the dogs were Scottish!

Me and the food ticket for the lunch that took forever to arrive. The vendors moved so slowly, we were cracking up by the time the scotch egg and malasada finally arrived.
After the games, we headed over to Lanikai beach to soak up the sun.
A bit sunburned, but super happy. Some Island Snow shave ice topped off the afternoon. Couldn't have asked for a better Saturday!
