April Fool's Dinner

It was a pretty silly evening we had last night. Will and I prepared some pretty crazy food to fool my family. They're quite used to my April Fool's Day shenanigans (string in pancakes, rubber band around the sink sprayer, etc), and were understandably suspicious of the meal we prepared.

For pupus, we created some edible endangered penguins. Nick (a polar bear at heart) ate them with glee. Good thing they were just olives, carrots and cream cheese!

For dinner, we made some delicious "cupcakes". Instead of sweet, though, our "cupcakes" were made of meatloaf and our "frosting" was garlic mashed potats!

Aren't they cute?

And for dessert..."grilled cheese sandwiches"! Not really, though. The "bread" is actually toasted pound cake and the "cheese" is actually frosting!
Happy April Fool's Day!!
