Hawaiian Scottish Games

No really! Hawaiian Scottish Games! We had a blast on Sunday over at Kapiolani Park at the free festivities. The pipers played all afternoon and were absolutely AMAZING!! (If you look really closely, you can see that the lead piper is actually the same guy who played at our wedding! Small world!)

Here are Nick and Will posing for the camera near the games area (and the first aid station - coincidence?) Aren't they just so handsome!?

And here is a pic from the "Scottish Housewife Games". We're not joking. This fearless housewife is demonstrating the "fry-pan toss". Above is the windup......and here's the toss! They also had a rolling pin throw, and a fun flour toss where you had to throw a sac of flour and get it to land in a frying pan about 25 feet away. The best part? Women only! No men were allowed to participate. Too funny!!

A great day of fun for us all (and a wonderful excuse for Will to wear his kilt from our wedding).
