Sunday Traditions...

So it's become a bit of a Barron Ohana tradition to go exploring on Sunday mornings. These past few weeks we've been hiking, watching waves on the North Shore and even gone out swimming in the frigid, winter Pacific waters. Yesterday, though, we ran up to Pillbox (the same hike we took Will's parents on) to check out the view. It was a glorious, cloudless morning for hiking!
We went well past the actual WWII pillboxes and discovered that the trail actually extends all the way out to Waimanalo at Bellows Air Force Base. Crazy!! Here's my hiking hubby as we round yet another hilltop.
Will took a bunch of cool texture shots for his upcoming graphic design courses. I call this one "uber rock shadow".

We had an awesome morning and are hoping we can keep up this new Sunday morning tradition!

Now for something completely different...

(Will doesn't like to brag, so I'm forced to do it for him.)

Today Will found out that he got into the super prestigious BFA Graphic Design program at UH! He is only one of eighteen students from the BA program to be accepted into this special program. His typography teacher this past semester is the department chair (in charge of the BFA program) and absolutely adored his work in her class - we'll be sure to post some of his amazing work up here soon. We're super stoked he has proved that he is finally going to be where he belongs - in one of the top ten graphic design programs in the world!! Yay Will!!
