Will's parents are visiting from California and even though we think it's freezing cold (65*), they seem to love it! They've been driving all over the island these past few days seeing the sights. Every night after school and work we are treated to tales of adventures and fun. It's almost not fair....having to go to work and school knowing all the great stuff they're doing while we slave away! ;) We count the moments till the weekend when we get to join their fun and "play tourist" too.
Even though it's a little windy and rainy, we braved the elements and went to dinner tonight at one of our favorite little Kailua joints: Lucy's! We had all sorts of yummy fresh fish, scallops, and lamb. But the best was starting the dinner right with the famous "Ahi Tower" pupu (above). Layers of rice, avocado, ahi tuna, caviar and sprouts are ono-delicious! Sort of like a giant, naked sushi roll. Needless to say, we pigged out (in true Barron fashion) and yet here we sit planning out our next culinary adventures for tomorrow! What fun!
