Merry Thanks-mas!

In honor of Jim & Maria's visit, we decided to throw together a hap-hazard holiday party .
We call it "Thanks-mas".
We had smoked ahi dip for pupus, homemade Caesar salad & croutons, Will's famous garlique smashed potats, roasted green and white asparagus, popovers with honey butter, a giant twenty-pound turkey and (of course) gravy. And for dessert...homemade purple taro sweet bread pudding (in honor of Eileen & Josh).

Here's Will testing to see if he can fit the whole bird in his mouth...

Here we are prepping dessert in the kitchen.

Here's mom with Nakoa (who is eying that marvelous bird)

A little bubbly to get the party started off right...
Dad, brother and mom all smiling for the camera...

Nick pointing to his potats saying, "this means something". Dad's not too sure.

A good time was had by all (especially Koa - under the table - who caught quite a few stray croutons and turkey bits). Merry Thanks-mas to all!
Cheers!!

ps...here's a shot of Nick and his gf, Sammy, who couldn't make it to dinner because she had the flu. Feel better soon!
